Judith Tummino was born in Washington, D. C. and spent summers at the Chesapeake Bay.  She frequently traveled to the Shendoah Valley on holidays to visit the Civil War home of her mother’s relatives and attended Colorado State University.  The wetlands of Parkers Creek watershed, the Chesapeake, the mountains of the Shendoah as well as Colorado all contributed to her love of the landscape.

Her early years growing up in Maryland gave her easy access to the vast art collections of the city of Washington, D.C.

For the last decade Judith has traveled and painted in Italy.  She presently divides her time between travel to Maryland, New York and Italy, as well as her second home in Arizona.  She lives with her husband in Michigan.
